Austin Shakespeare Gives Staged Reading of
All-Female Taming of the Shrew
Turning the tables on when
only men were allowed on stage during Shakespeare's age, Austin
Shakespeare will present a staged reading his classic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, with an all-female cast. Featuring a cast
of professional Austin actresses, the production will run March
25th through 27th at the Curtain Theatre.
Part of Austin
Shakespeare's 25th season of theatre, the professional, Actors'
Equity staged reading will be presented at Richard Garriott's
Curtain Theatre. The replica of an Elizabethan Theatre
sits in a pecan grove on the shores of Lake Austin off City
Park Road - near Route 2222 and 360 - on the estate of gaming
mogul Richard Garriott.
Performances will be March
25th through 27th at 8 p.m. Tickets for the production
