winning musical runs April 8th through 18th.
City of Angels features a book by Larry Gelbart (M*A*S*H) and music from Cy Coleman (Sweet Charity) and David Zippel.  Featuring a sophisticated, jazz-inspired score, the musical bounces between film noir and 1940s Hollywood glamour.
In the story, a frazzled novelist struggles to adapt his hard-boiled detective novel to the silver screen. As tensions mount, the parallels between his own life and that of his fictional detective spiral start to overlap.
The Mary Moody Northen Theatre production features Equity guest artists Sarah Gay, Jamie Goodwin, and David M. Long.   Michael McKelvey directs.
Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.  A special added show is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14th, at 7:30 p.m.
Advance tickets are $18 for adults and $15 students, seniors, and the St. Edward's community.  All tickets will be $20 at the door.
Mary Moody Northen Theatre is located at 3001 South Congress Avenue on the St. Edward's University campus.  For reservations and more information, call (512) 448-8484.
