Different Stages Comically Asks Is Life Worth Living?, Starting June 22nd

VORTEX Theatre.
A traveling repertory troupe visits a small village in Ireland, and after a week or so of Ibsen, Chekhov and Strindberg, the town is driven mad.  The goofy comedy imagines the undesirable effects that a steady diet of serious drama might have on the amiable residents of the provincial seaside town of Inish.
Directed by Norman Blumensaadt, the traveling troupe features Mick D'Arcy and Lorella Loftus, with Andy Brown, Mary Kennelly, Jean Budney, Gabriel Pena and Alexandra Russo.  The cast also includes Bethany Harbaugh, Jonathan Urso, Steven Fay, Ben Weaver, Freddy Carnes and Rhyan Chody.
Performances will be Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $30 for priority seating and $15 to $20 for general admission.
The VORTEX Theater is located at 2307 Manor Road.  For more information and reservations, call (512) 478-LAVA (5282) or visit www.VortexRep.org.
