I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change
September 21st through October 14th
The Palace Theatre

The historic Palace Theatre in Georgetown opens its 2012-2013 Season with I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a musical celebration of the mating game.  The award-winning off-Broadway comedy revue plays the Springer Memorial Stage of the Palace Theatre for four weekends, running September 21st through October 14th.
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage - revealing the agonies and triumphs of in-laws, newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set.  The music and dance in the four-person ensemble performance pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, fallen on their face at the portal of romance and dared to ask, "What are you doing Saturday night?"
The musical was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway musical in 1997.  It also holds the distinction of being the second-longest off-Broadway musical in history.
Featuring book and lyrics by Joe Dipietro and Jimmy Roberts, the production is directed by Danny Herman and choreographed by Rocker Verastique - the duo behind the recent performances of A Chorus Line at the Palace Theatre.  The cast features veteran actors Michelle Cheney, Evelyn LaLonde and R. Michael Clinkscales.
Performances will run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $24 for general admission, $22 for seniors (55+), $14 students (10-22) and active military, and $10 for children (9 and younger).  The production contains adult themes and language.
The Palace Theatre is located at 810 South Austin Avenue in downtown Georgetown, just off the city square.  For tickets and more information, call (512) 869-7469 or (512) 869-5081 or visit
