Magician Mago Matias
March 11th through 13th
VORTEX Repertory Theatre

International magician Mago Matias, of Chile, comes to Austin's VORTEX Theatre for one weekend, with a special show to benefit the victims of the recent Chile earthquake.  Matias promises to have Austin audiences on the edge of their seats with evening suspenseful and interactive magic and comedy, playing March 11th through 13th at 10 p.m.
"I began studying magic when I inherited a library of magic books from my uncle, magician Jorge Barriga, in 2003," Matias said.  "It was then that I began to study and love this beautiful art."
Matias has been performing professionally in Chile and Argentina for the past 10 years.  After discovering his natural talent to deceive and amaze audiences with magic, Matias was invited into the Magic Circle of Chile by internationally renowned professional magician Sebastián Sáa.
Tickets for the performances are $30 to $25 for priority seating, $20 to $15 for general admission, and $10 for "starving artists."  The Saturday, March 13th, show will benefit the victims of the earthquake in Chile.
The VORTEX Theatre is located at 2307 Manor Road.  For tickets and information, call (512) 478-LAVA (5282) or visit www.VortexRep.org.
