The United States Art Authority
     The  weekly poetry competition on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. showcases
     12 original spoken-word artists in a no-holds-barred, raucous,
     energized competition with $100 in prize money on the line.

    The monthly event features a diverse collection of writers and performers
    and a wide range of sexualities through storytelling and performance,
   plus audience members get to share their own anonymous confessions.

     Poets take the mic from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by musicians
     from 9 p.m. to midnight, at the weekly open mic event at one of
     Austin’s longest-running coffee establishments.
