A Christmas Carol Opens at Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre on November 28th

Just in time for the holidays, the Scottish Rite Children's Theatre is preparing an original, family-friendly production of A Christmas Carol, opening November 28th and running through December 20th.  Based on Charles Dickens' classic story, the new stage version is written,

composed and directed by Michael McKelvey.
On Christmas Eve, Scrooge sits alone counting his cash and is visited by friendlier, funnier versions of the ghosts of Christmas Present, Past and Future. The ghosts show Scrooge the errors of his crotchety ways and help him make an overnight transformation from grouchy to grateful.
Written for young audiences with original music and songs, the interactive play is designed to teach the values of kindness and sharing.   The production is geared to children ages three through seven.
Performances are Saturdays at 10 a.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.   An additional weekday performancewill be offered on December 10th at 10:30 a.m., plus a special evening performance on Friday, December 11th, at 7 p.m.
On December 20th at 11 a.m., the performers will offer a special “A Christmas Carol Countdown to Noon!” beginning at 11 a.m.  Children in the audience will celebrate an early New Year's Eve with party favors and treats following the performance.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children ages 1-12, and $5 for infants under 1 year.  Seating is general admission, and limited tickets may be available at door, one hour before performance.
The Scottish Rite Theatre is located at 207 West 18th Street.  For advance reservations and information, call (512) 472-5436 or visit www.SRCT.org.
