The Nutcracker
Ballet Austin
December 8th through 23rd
The Long Center for the Performing Arts

Ballet Austin highlights their 2012-2013 season with the 50th anniversary of one of Austin’s longest-running holiday traditions.  The Nutcracker takes to The Long Center stage on December 8th through the 23rd.
This year marks the 50th annual production of Austin’s The Nutcracker.  Ballet Austin’s production of The Nutcracker is Texas’ longest running production of the classic.
With choreography by Stephen Mills and the timeless music of Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky - performed live by the Austin Symphony Orchestra - this annual holiday event always sells out.  Exquisite costumes, snow falling on the audience, and a different local “celebrity” playing the role of Mother Ginger in each performance make the production a “must see” every year.
Showtimes for Nutcracker are 7:30 p.m. on December 8th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd; and 2 p.m  on December  9th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.   All performances will be staged at Dell Hall in the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
Both season packages and individual tickets are available.  For tickets and more information,  call 1-866-4-GETTIX or visit www.AustinBallet.org.
