October 20th and 21st
St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church

Chorus Austin launches their 48th Season with a year of "Perspectives" exploring the emotional depths and heights of choral works from master composers such as Rachmaninoff, Vivaldi, Brahms and Beethoven.
"Woven together with these greats are rarely heard jewels that offer audiences the opportunity to experience live performances of pieces by Schütz, Herzogenberg, Saint-Saëns and beloved contemporary Estonian composer Veljo Tormis," said Ryan Heller, Chorus Austin artistic director and conductor.
The 2012-2013 Season opens October 20th and 21st with performances of Rachmaninoff's haunting Vespers.  The concert will be sung a cappella in Russian by Chorus Austin's 120-voice symphonic ensemble, Austin Civic Chorus.
The concerts will be performed on October 20th at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church at 8 p.m., followed by a matinee at 4 p.m. on October 21st at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students.
