Primus in 3-D
Texas Performing Arts
November 7th
Bass Concert Hall

C3 Presents and Texas Performing Arts will present Primus in 3D on Wednesday, November 7th at Bass Concert Hall.  Featuring two sets per evening, the unique concert event features the band performing in a unique 3-D staging.
Being that this is the first-ever traveling 3-D enhanced, live musical performance, the groundbreaking tour provides a one-of-a-kind psychedelic experience - further enhanced with Quad Surround Sound.  For the past 27 years, Primus have followed in the footsteps of boundary-pushing artists like Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd to create some of the most original and inventive music in existence.
Recently, the band released the video for "Lee Van Cleef," premiered via TeamCoco.com.   Primus also debuted the video for the single "Tragedy's a' Comin'", which premiered on IFC.com in a three-part series.
The band’s latest album, Green Naugahyde, was produced and engineered by Les Claypool in his personal studio, Rancho Relaxo, in Northern California, and features Claypool, long-time guitarist Larry LaLonde and drummer Jay Lane.  Lane was in an early lineup of the band, and was also in Sausage, a 1994 reunion of the 1988 Primus lineup.
Tickets for the Austin performance are $35 to $45.  Doors open at 7 p.m., with the concert experience beginning at 8 p.m.
Bass Concert Hall is located at the corner of E. 23rd Street and Robert Dedman Drive on the University of Texas campus.  Tickets are now on sale now at the Bass Concert Hall Box Office and all Texas Box Office outlets - including most H-E-B stores - by calling (512) 477-6060 or (800) 982-BEVO and online at www.TexasPerformingArts.org.
