The City Theatre
celebrates romantic tomfoolery and mistaken identities in
Oliver Goldsmith’s great classic comedy, She Stoops to Conquer. Performances will run July 19th through
August 12th.
When shy-with-the
ladies Charles Marlow sets off to the country to meet his blind
date, a practical joke convinces him that the manor is a luxury
inn. Treating one’s prospective in-laws as hired
help is hardly advisable, but when it appears that Charles is
quite a charmer, misdemeanors multiply, mayhem ensues and love
blossoms. The bawdy romp is loaded with chaos, courtship
and the dysfunctional family.
Performances run
Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for front or 2nd row reserved seating and
$15 for general admission. All Thursday performance seats
are $10.
The City Theatre is
located at 3823 Airport Blvd. Suite D, on the east corner of
