June 3, 2010 - “Night of the Bat” Festival at Hyatt Regency Austin
As part of the City of Austin's "Night of the Bat" on June 6th, the Hyatt Regency Austin will offer a three-hour festival atmosphere, with entertainment that includes the Biscuit Brothers, Joe McDermott, and Circus Chicken Dog.  The party highlights the City's celebration by upping the ante with entertainment, food, and festivities.
The original Batmobile will be on hand for photos, and the Austin Toros will host a Pop Shot game - along with pictures with the Toros mascot.   The Theatre Action Project will teach kids to perform, and Austin firefighters will be on hand with their on-site truck.
The festivities also include live music, face painting, Games 2 U, a bouncy house, hot dogs, Jim Jim's water ice, cotton candy, Annie Ray's photo booth, and an aerial dance show by Blue Lapis Light.
The party takes place on June 6th, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the Hyatt Regency Austin Downtown grounds.  The hotel is located at 208 Barton Springs Road next to Lady Bird Lake, between South 1st and South Congress.
Admission to the party is free, but the Hyatt welcomes donations to Bat Conservation International.  Following the three festivity-packed hours, an evening procession - fronted by the Minor Mishap Marching Band - will lead guests from the Hyatt to the Congress Avenue Bridge to watch Austin's bats take flight.
