April 15, 2010 - The 25th Annual Hill Country Food and Wine Festival: Day One
The 25th annual Hill Country Food and Wine Festival kicks off today, but the day’s highlight events - including the Texas winery luncheons and the “Texas25 “Party at Whole Foods tonight - have sold out well in advance.  However, tickets are still available for the Texas Culinary Masters Dinner and Silent Auction tonight on the lawn at the Four Seasons.
TRIO chef Elmar Prambs reigns over a gourmet, multi-course dinner, with wine pairings by Mike Martini of Louis M. Martini.  Texas culinary favorites Kent Rathbun of Abacus and Jaspers in Dallas, Bryan Caswell of Reef in Houston, Driskill Hotel alum David Bull of Bolla and Stoneleight Hotel in Dallas, and Rebecca Rather of Rather Sweet Bakery in Fredericksburg will join Prambs to create signature dishes for the evening.
A champagne reception precedes the seated dinner under the stars, starting at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $150 per person.
Check the Food and Wine Festival website at www.TexasWineandFood.org for daily festival updates and news.  And if you don’t have your Stars Across Texas tickets yet for Friday night’s culinary extravaganza at The Long Center, you had better buy them now - I’m just saying...
