April 29, 2009 - Falling in Love with LovePuppies Brownies
Following a rave
write-up by pal Addie Broyles in her Austin
American-Statesman blog, we got in
touch with LovePuppies Brownies founder Joel Haro - just find out what
all the fuss was about. Now we know - it’s about
some of the best brownies we’ve indulged on!
Haro delivered a
sampler pack of his hand-crafted chocolate morsels, and we dove
right in to the flavor combination that I love - chocolate and
mint. And it was pure heaven!

Haro’s
LovePuppies Brownies certainly brought back those memories, and
his cache of flavors is making new ones. We’re
doling out the samples - to make them last - but we will
definitely be buying replacement samples of his mocha, double
chocolate, and the favorite mint. Next on our list to
sample is the Trailer Chic - a blondie of dark chocolate chips
and pecans.
Raised here in
Austin, Haro graduated from the Culinary Institute of America
in New York. He named his new venture for his five
adorable dogs, which share his time with a love of cooking and
riding motorcycles.
