May 25, 2010 - Naked Sushi at Kenichi
The folks at the
downtown sushi palace Kenichi Austin are
hosting a special party on Wednesday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.,
featuring their fish delicacies served on the body of live
woman. No, really.

Called
"nyotaimori" - which is literally translates from
Japanese as "female body presentation" - the
"body sushi" presentation is the extremely rare
practice of serving sashimi or sushi from the body of a woman,
typically naked. No, really.
Danielle McGarrh, the
Assistant General Manager of Kenichi Austin, promises that
their models will not be completely nude. Instead, two models
will be displayed for the guests and decorated with sushi in
the form of art. The food will rest on bamboo leaves that
will be places on various locations of the body, and guests
will eat from the artistic display.
The night will also
include sake bomb stations, a Patron shot block, and local DJs.
