The Dripping Springs
Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the third annual Dripping with Taste Wine & Food Festival from noon until 7
p.m. this Saturday, September 11th, at Creekside Pavilion,
located at 18315 RR 1826. The event will host wineries
from the
Participating
wineries include Driftwood Estate Winery, Duchman Family
Winery, Becker Vineyards, Bell Mountain Vineyards, Fall Creek,
Haak Vineyards & Winery, Messina Hof Winery & Resort,
Piney Woods Country Winery, Texas Hills Vineyard, Sunset
Winery, Landon Winery, Wines of Dotson, McReynolds Winery, and
Cocktail Wine.
The $30 admission at the
gate ($25 in advance and only $5 for the teetotalers) gets you
a souvenir wine glass, six wine tastings, and all the
entertainment. Additional wine tastings are only $1 each.

September 9, 2010 - September Culinary Updates, Part I
This year's Tour de
Vin will focus on Europe and South America, with wines from
Italy, France, Argentina, and Chile. Sweet and savory
bites from twenty Central Texas eateries include Buenos Aires
Café, Fabi + Rosi, Fogo de Chao, Jack Allen's Kitchen,
Maria Maria, NoRTH, Portabla, Sagra, and many more. Cienfuegos
will provide live music for the event.
New this year, the
creative chefs at Whole Foods' Lamar
Culinary Center will whip
up a special Tour de Vin Pre-Event Tasting, beginning at 5:30
p.m. in the Culinary Center. Guests to the limited
seating event will enjoy four top-rated wines and a global hors
d'oeuvres spread.
Tickets are $75 for the
Tour de Vin and $35 for the pre-party, and space is limited.
