ZACH Theatre to Give Away Wedding During Upcoming Run of Our Town

In celebration of the Austin staging of ZACH Theatre's upcoming production of Thornton Wilder's classic play Our Town, ZACH Theatre will give away a full wedding to a lucky Central Texas couple - complete with the ceremony and reception. The wedding will take place on the set of Our Town in ZACH's Nowlin Studio, located at 1426 Toomey Rd., during the April 15th through May 23rd run of the production.

ZACH Theatre said couples are invited to submit a short, two-minute video via YouTube - explaining why they are the ideal couple to win the Austin-themed wedding. The contest is open to all Central Texas residents, whether they wish to experience their first wedding, renew their vows, or perform a commitment ceremony.

Each wedding contest contestant couple will upload their video submissions to their personal YouTube page by March 26th, and send their link to ZACH Theatre at mywedding@zachtheatre.org. Full contest information, instructions and rules are available at www.ZachTheatre.org/wedding.

The top six video submissions will be placed on the ZACH website. Then, from March 29th to April 11th, the general public will vote for their favorite couple. The winner will be announced on April 12th.

To date, the wedding package will include:

- A fully decorated private event room on the stage of the Nowlin Studio;

- Personal wedding coordination by Amanda Dudley of Big Day Events;

- Selected wedding rentals from Premiere Party Central;

- Wedding favors from Nuptial Necessities;

- Custom wedding cake by Tammie Barnhill;

- Floral arrangements by Just'in Blooms and Roses;

- $500 gift certificate from Unbridaled toward the

bride's wedding dress;

- Hair and makeup from Rae Cosmetics;

- Photography by Ron Parks Photography and

Meaghan D Photography;

- $1,000 of reception catering from Fion;

- DJ music for the reception by Encore

Entertainment; and

- Thank-you notes or programs courtesy of

Dragonfly Designs.

Additional package items will be added through April 11th. The winning couple will select a Sunday evening or any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning or afternoon from April 15th through May 23rd, for their wedding event.

ZACH Theatre's production of Our Town will feature many of Austin's top actors in an environmental staging of the play. Director Dave Steakley will move the action - and the audience - between different locations on the ZACH Theatre campus for each of the three acts, creating an Austin-specific staging of Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama.
